Faith, reasons and evidences

Faith, reasons and evidences
I have just came through some Faith, reasoning and evidences classes on the bible with some Apologetic teachings and I must admit there's something there for the God called Preacher, However, there's still something that can be said about the the power of the word of God to convict and the moving of the Holy Spirit to convince a sinner, even a college educated sinner.

I think about the testimony of a young Cherokee Indian boy who read a little red New testament bible (KJV) and got saved and became a preacher of the gospel, the missionaries going to third world counties with their bible and God's message that Jesus saves, and others it makes me excited about the Power of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit who speaks to their heart.  I realize the word of GOD has a built in promise, "it will not return void" or empty but accomplish that which it's set out to do.

Are we forgetting the Preaching of the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. The dying thief did not debate Christ, yet under Holy Spirit conviction, 'LORD remember me in paradise"  Well, the other thief did debate and we know what that got him.
Help us LORD, to preach and proclaim the word of GOD in it's power and purity!!

Well, just thinking, if I had a place to preach tonight that would be my message, Well PTL!!

Truly, the story of Jesus will never, no never grow old!!

God's light and the light you need

God's light and the light you need.

We get our light for human life from the Sun, 92,955,828 miles away. It's a source of energy and a source of life.  Many tests have been done on humans and it been proven that we need light.
It revitalizes human beings and gives us a reason to wake up every single day. Exposure to sunlight is thought to increase the brain’s release of a hormone called serotonin. Serotonin is associated with boosting mood and helping a person feel calm and focused. (From Google search)

So as we need sun light physically and mentally, and too, we need the SON, the of Son of God for our spiritual life.  It is very interesting that GOD, the universe creator, created light, in Genesis
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day Genesis 1:3-5

Jesus said He is the light. May I say, Jesus Is the Light of the World
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12

Many are in darkness of this world. Many worldly philosophies and ideas, just generate more questions and no hope with no future, especially for the after life.

And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, Hebrews 9:27

An appointment time we must ALL face!!

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope, 1Thess 4:13

So just as your physical being needs light, so does you soul and spirit. And GOD provides that light through his dear SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.  Do not wonder about your soul's salvation ?? Come Jesus and he will deliver you.  And did you know, you are just a prayer away from Him. Clear your mind, close your eyes and open your heart to Jesus.

Today, He is knocking on your heart's door. Will you let Him in ???
May GOD bless you, Have a Great Day!!

Colonial Christmas

Colonial Christmas

It has been well documented our founding Fathers with the 13 Colonies brought the celebration of Christmas with them and established it. Christmas in before 1776 was celebrated differently when compared to what we do now, but the declarations and meals was the very similar.

The declarations consisted of a tree, ornaments hung with a top star, the greenery hung and the food prepared for the Christmas meal.   All was done in celebration of Christmas, the season and the day.

The Christian Colonist brought and recognized the celebration of our dear Savior's birth in the New land of America. The Colonist had Christmas customs and Christmas foods, also designated time to celebrate.

So then as now, "JESUS-IS-THE-REASON-FOR-THE-SEASON" and to take Christ out of Christmas (Xmas) means no Christmas.

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men LUKE 2:8-14

And after you hear and received God's word and message about Jesus Christ, whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved. For with the heart man believes and with moth confession is made unto salvation.

Rembrandt's Crucifixion scene

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. I Cor 1:17-18

Here we see another moment caught in history painted by the noted Great Artist Rembrandt, in the 1600s. A scene from the bible and a scene caught in Roman history.  Rembrandt was moved to paint this scene.

And why not, Christ said He must come and lay down His life. And indeed He did.  GOD's son. Jesus Christ became man, lived on this earth 33 1/3 years, he was a boy, a man,  a teacher,a  healer and a prophet. The Gospel of John says "He came into His own (people) and they received Him not. They crucified Him between two other thieves, hung to die a shameful death to end His human life. And Rembrandt painted this scene for all to see.

But how do you see Jesus, the man Jesus. What has the secular world taught you ?? And what are you believing ??

If we have your attention, GOD is calling you today.

The Savior is speaking to your and why don't you let Him in ??  Many years I lived in vanity and pride, I did not care that Jesus was crucified, I did not know it was for all and me He died on the cross. Well, His mercy and grace was free, and His pardon was applied to me, there I found a great liberty, there at the cross, where and when Jesus died for all.

It not a fairy tale and it's a fantasy for it's written in the Word of God and in history, But now is your time to believe and call on Him. ABC really, ask, believe and call on Him.

I was saved in 1976, a thirteen year teenager, and I have not regretted following Him, I have failed Him abut He has never failed me, want you call on Him today.

Rembrandt's Stoning of Stephen

54 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the quick, and they began gnashing their teeth at him. 55 But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; 56 and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” 57 But they cried out with a loud voice, and covered their ears and rushed at him with one impulse. 58 When they had driven him out of the city, they began stoning him; and the witnesses laid aside their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 They went on stoning Stephen as he called on the Lord and said, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!” 60 Then falling on his knees, he cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” Having said this, he [ag]fell asleep. Acts 7:54-60

Here we see the great artist, Rembrandt, painting of the "Stoning of Stephen" a christian martyr.  He painted this picture during his life time in early 1600s.  A biblical and historical documented religious story, as Rembrandt painted it capturing a moment in time past.

Interesting, it may be very valid today, in the fact, we see and hear this type of verbal rock throwing today in our time, presently at this blog post writing, 2019. How long will be be for the verbal to become physical?? ( just because many do not understand??)

Well, the Gospel message and the Words of GOD have challenged the wise and unwise for many centuries. The Romans, Greeks and Egyptians just to name a few.   Also, the Humanist and agnostics of our day. And why fight it!! The glorious gospel of Jesus Christ is a bright shining light for the unbeliever and unbelieving world. It's a ray of hope, help and happiness.
The Apostle Paul said to the Romans;
15 So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed [j]from faith to faith; as it is written, “[k]But the righteous man shall live by faith.Romans 1:15-17
  And then to the Corinthians;
For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the [o]message preached to save those who believe. 22 For indeed Jews ask for [p]signs and Greeks search for wisdom; 23 but we preach [q]Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, 24 but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 1 COR 1:18-25

So my prayer to you is this, that you would seek first GOD and His righteousness, call on His name to be saved.
May GOD bless you,
Rev Dan

Rembrandt's biblical scene

Rembrandt is generally considered one of the greatest visual artists in the history of art and the most important in Dutch art history. Rembrandt's portraits of his contemporaries, self-portraits and illustrations of scenes from the Bible are regarded as his greatest creative triumphs. (copied and paste from Wikipedia) Just giving credit where credit is due.

Here we see a picture of Rembrandt's painting of Moses and the Ten Commandments. He lived during the early 1600s AD but was moved to paint scenes from the bible.

Moses was called, chosen and was a champion of GOD.  GOD had called him at Mt Sinai and there GOD appeared to Moses and later gave him the Ten Commandments. Which, we must realize was GOD's words for his people and mankind.

The children of Israel was in bad bondage in Egypt, under an ungodly king, as he made God's people to suffer in laborious tasks.  They need a lord to lead them out, lead them to a land and a law to live by in their life. God gave them a leader, law and a land to live in.

Are we so different today, now. We live under a worldly system, many times it is anti-God. Truth and right are challenged daily.  And just as the children of Israel, we need a Lord to lead us out. Actually, to lead you and I out of  this worldly bondage.  We need a law, GOD's word to live by and a land, a Heavenly land to go to one day, a promised land, see John 14.  We need a LORD, Law and a land, this is through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly John 10:10
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; see John 1:1-3

My friend now is the accepting time, today is the day of salvation. For whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved. For with the heart we believes and with mouth confession is made. Do not wonder about this, but heed the call today.

Only trust Him, only trust Him now, He will save you, He will save you now.

May GOD bless you,
RevDan

Kairos moment

Kairos (Ancient Greek: καιρός) is an Ancient Greek word meaning the right, critical, or opportune moment

Translated as "the right time" from Ancient Greek, kairos variously refers to an "opportune presentation" in rhetoric and a "spiritual opportunity" in Christian theology.

A preacher was eating lunch with his wife and friends. There was not many people there at the restaurant but the service was very bad, it took forever to get there drink order.  Finally, the waitress came to there table. She looked sad and upset.  She asked for their drink order, but the preacher said" we about ask the blessing for our meal, do you have anything you want us to pray about??" The waitress was so surprised and tears came to her eyes and she said " yes, pray for me that I can get through this bad day ".

That prayer was at the opportune time and the waitress was thankful and helped.  Later, she got saved and joined the church.

We need to recognize and take advantage of the opportune moment for the LORD. It could be a random act of kindness that might have an impact on a person. SO seek the moment and be alert. Ask GOD to lead you, guide and direct you.

Show me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day. Psalms 25:4-5

Dear Friend, first GOD can lead you, guide and direct you in being saved, born again.  Just call on Him while He is near. Believed with your heart and confess with your mouth, then HE will save you.

History Jesus to King David

Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, [a]called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures, concerning His Son, who was born of a [b]descendant of David according to the flesh, who was declared the Son of God with power [c]by the resurrection from the dead, according to the [d]Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship [e]to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name’s sake, among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ; Romans 1:1-6

As the Apostle Paul opens his book to the Romans, it is very interesting that he identifies Jesus as a descendant of King David. No doubt there were those who doubted Jesus so Paul use history, documented history to prove Jesus for the secular world and then explain for the spiritual world he declares Jesus is the Son of God. But notice here this image showing how Jesus is a descendant.
Really Matthew shows how  Jesus is a descendant of David on his father side and then Luke shows how he is a descendant on his mother's side. See the Book of Matthew and the book of Luke in the bible, GOD's word in the New Testament.

GOD became a man, in the person of Jesus Christ, as Jesus came down from heaven, just as the manna came down from Heaven while the children of Israel was in desert wilderness, it was a great miracle then and is same great miracle when Jesus came down from heaven to dwell and live among His people.

Friend, the documented history is there and what more can we say. Jesus' message and miracles are documented. His crucifixion and resurrection both documented in history.  Not a fairy tale and not fantasy for it's written in the word of GOD, the bible for ALL to see.

Greater love no man than this, that a man laid down His life for His friends, really for ALL who would believe and yet He died for all.
Now is the accepting time, now, as you ponder the wonder of Jesus, you could accept Him today by calling on Him. Confess and believe.

See Him Lifted up

And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross] John 3:14

The "lifting" up of Christ in His crucifixion on the cross.

At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light,
and the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there, by faith, I received my sight,
And now I am Happy all the day.

But what does bible (God's word) say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13

May God Bless you,
REVDAN

He has appeared to you

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs [a]according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:4-7

GOD's great love and kindness has appeared ( shown forth) seen by ALL mankind. You are a witness to this fact today as you read this blog spot. But really He has appeared to YOU in many ways and at different times.

GOD wants to save you, deliver you from sins. For He is not looking for your good works or good deeds which you may have done in times past, no way, but He wants to save you according to His mercy, His great mercy. His love for you is unmerited, not any thing you could do, but Believe on His dear son Jesus Christ.  This same Jesus came down from heaven, God became man. He was birthed into this world, having a human mother, Mary. He was born a baby, grew as a child, became a man.  He became that prophet and teacher.  Called twelve disciples, then seventy and many others. He appeared before the Roman leaders of the land and they found no fault in Him. But His own Jewish people crucified Him and He died on a Roman's wooden cross, for me and YOU !!

The bible, GOD's word says "Today is the day of Salvation" Now is the accepting time, call on Him while He is near. And start that NEW life with GOD.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.  Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.  It will be healing to your flesh  and refreshment to your bones.
Proverbs 3:5-8

Only trust Him, only Trust Him now, for He will hear you and saved you now.

May God Bless you ALL,

ALL made of GOD

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well. Psa. 139:14

As humans, we are wonderfully made by our LORD GOD. We were birthed as a man or woman, male or female, and what GOD has made let not man change of a natural person.

In the beginning GOD created the heavens and the earth, light and darkness, male and female. The man, male first, then He saw man should not abide alone, GOD created female, from the rib of man.

GOD had a plan for life and He provided a way for us.

GOD will give light, enlighten you, show you the way, only trust in Him.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will (direct) make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your body Proverbs 3:5-8

Call on the LORD, while He is near, as you are reading this blog post, Jesus is knocking on your Hearts door, answer Him and let Him in. For whosever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved, for with the heart man believes and with mouth confession is made unto salvation. Marvel not, do not wonder, but realize you must be born again.

May I present JESUS to you.

God's Light

GOD's LIGHT

I want to show you based on the bible, God's Word, GOD's light to salvation.

A hidden truth lies within the letters of GOD's L-I-G-H-T

"L" speaks of  His love, God's light shed light on His love and it begins with His love.
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. see Rom 5:6-8
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, Eph 2:4

"I"  speaks of His image, as we are to be conformed to His image.
For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; Rom 8:29
in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Cor 4:4

"G" speaks of His Grace, His amazing grace.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:8-9
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Titus 2:11
God's riches at Christ's expense, unmerited favor, unconditional love, also, unmerited love, unconditional favor. Truly what a mighty GOD.

"H" speaks of His Help, Our Help is in the LORD, who made the heavens and earth.
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. Psa. 54:4
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Psa. 121:1-3

"T" speaks of the Trust in Him, Trust in the LORD.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Psa.91:2

Well, may the words of GOD speak, perhaps it needs further information or perhaps not, I say, may the words of GOD speak, as you may see the need to search or inquire of the LORD about this. The words of GOD has that kind of power.  As you read the word of GOD, the spirit of GOD will touch you, woo you, to go further and see the light.  I saw the light and I accepted Him. Allow the Holy Spirit to be welcome into your heart and mind.

By the way friend, the bible says The LORD is near, and with heart man believes, with mouth confession is made unto salvation, for whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved.

May GOD bless you,
RevDan

three lessons from David

Psalm 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.

We see three thing here in this verse,  a good decision, a great direction & a godly declaration.

First we see "a good decision"
David knew that when God is near he can do great miracles, Slaying the giant.  He can declare a great message, "You come to me with a spear and sword, I come thee in the name of the LORD!!" and  he knew / remembered it was always a good time in mediation with the LORD, great moments with the LORD.

Secondly we see, "a great direction"
David knew it was a personal trust, it was in heart, emotionally, also it was a practical trust for was in his head, mind, mentally and it was a positional trust, GOD being the object of his trust. His trust was god-ward.

Thirdly,  we see "a godly declaration"
for God has been with David in his past as a shepherd. God had been with David in the present when he was king and  David know God would be with him in glory, heaven, as He said in Psalms 23:6 "and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever"

But my friend, as David had a personal relationship with GOD, so should you too.  The bible says for whosever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved. For with you heart man believes and with mouth confession is made unto salvation, marvel or do not wonder, you must be born again. And can and my today, right now!!

Our Hope in the LORD

The HOPE we have in the LORD

Many times I believe the LORD puts hidden truths within the words and letters of the words. Today, I would like for consider the word "HOPE", The hope we have in the LORD.

H-O-P-E

"H" speaks for our home in heaven. John14:1-3
In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
That heavenly home with certainly be mine. On that day, we will be with Him in paradise. A home that was planned, provided and promised to us through His word.

"O" speaks of overcome, He has overcome the world, also death and the grave.
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you. John 16:33 AMP
He had the power to lay down His life and the power to rise it up again.

"P" speaks of a person, the LORD JESUS CHRIST
God wanted to dwell amongst us. God, in the flesh came down to earth. Just as that bread, manna, came down from heaven, in a miraculous way, for the Jews, the children of Israel, while in the wilderness, from Egypt, so too did Jesus come down to this earth. As He lived, being our teacher / master and He died for us on the cross. His sacrificial death would atone for our sin.

"E" speaks of our earnest expectation
the blood, the book and the blessed hope
The shed blood of Jesus, atones for sins. The song writer said, "Hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and His righteousness, I dare not trust in fame but trust in Jesus' name, on Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is seeking sand."
The Book is the Bible, GOD's Holy word, and I will make it a lamp to feet and a light for my path, the words of the bible I will hide in my heart, so that I may not sin against Him.
The Blessed Hope of the Christian, The Apostle Paul said it best in his writing to Titus 2:13-14
13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of [h]our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us "
Jesus said in John 14 :3"I will come again and receive you unto myself, that were I am you can be also"

So yes indeed, we have HOPE in the LORD, but the question is do you friend??

The first step is to call on the LORD for salvation, just as you are, call on Him. The bible says turn unto GOD and He will turn unto you. When you turn unto Him, you have His attention. Then simply call on Him, pray, bow your head, believe on GOD's son, the LORD JESUS Christ and He has promised to save you.
The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, [e]that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, [f]resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, [g]resulting in salvation.  Romans 10:9-10
May God bless you friend,
