God's Light

GOD's LIGHT

I want to show you based on the bible, God's Word, GOD's light to salvation.

A hidden truth lies within the letters of GOD's L-I-G-H-T

"L" speaks of  His love, God's light shed light on His love and it begins with His love.
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.  But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. see Rom 5:6-8
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, Eph 2:4

"I"  speaks of His image, as we are to be conformed to His image.
For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; Rom 8:29
in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Cor 4:4

"G" speaks of His Grace, His amazing grace.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph 2:8-9
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men. Titus 2:11
God's riches at Christ's expense, unmerited favor, unconditional love, also, unmerited love, unconditional favor. Truly what a mighty GOD.

"H" speaks of His Help, Our Help is in the LORD, who made the heavens and earth.
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. Psa. 54:4
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Psa. 121:1-3

"T" speaks of the Trust in Him, Trust in the LORD.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Psa.91:2

Well, may the words of GOD speak, perhaps it needs further information or perhaps not, I say, may the words of GOD speak, as you may see the need to search or inquire of the LORD about this. The words of GOD has that kind of power.  As you read the word of GOD, the spirit of GOD will touch you, woo you, to go further and see the light.  I saw the light and I accepted Him. Allow the Holy Spirit to be welcome into your heart and mind.

By the way friend, the bible says The LORD is near, and with heart man believes, with mouth confession is made unto salvation, for whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved.

May GOD bless you,

three lessons from David

Psalm 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.

We see three thing here in this verse,  a good decision, a great direction & a godly declaration.

First we see "a good decision"
David knew that when God is near he can do great miracles, Slaying the giant.  He can declare a great message, "You come to me with a spear and sword, I come thee in the name of the LORD!!" and  he knew / remembered it was always a good time in mediation with the LORD, great moments with the LORD.

Secondly we see, "a great direction"
David knew it was a personal trust, it was in heart, emotionally, also it was a practical trust for was in his head, mind, mentally and it was a positional trust, GOD being the object of his trust. His trust was god-ward.

Thirdly,  we see "a godly declaration"
for God has been with David in his past as a shepherd. God had been with David in the present when he was king and  David know God would be with him in glory, heaven, as He said in Psalms 23:6 "and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever"

But my friend, as David had a personal relationship with GOD, so should you too.  The bible says for whosever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved. For with you heart man believes and with mouth confession is made unto salvation, marvel or do not wonder, you must be born again. And can and my today, right now!!

Our Hope in the LORD

The HOPE we have in the LORD

Many times I believe the LORD puts hidden truths within the words and letters of the words. Today, I would like for consider the word "HOPE", The hope we have in the LORD.

H-O-P-E

"H" speaks for our home in heaven. John14:1-3
In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
That heavenly home with certainly be mine. On that day, we will be with Him in paradise. A home that was planned, provided and promised to us through His word.

"O" speaks of overcome, He has overcome the world, also death and the grave.
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you. John 16:33 AMP
He had the power to lay down His life and the power to rise it up again.

"P" speaks of a person, the LORD JESUS CHRIST
God wanted to dwell amongst us. God, in the flesh came down to earth. Just as that bread, manna, came down from heaven, in a miraculous way, for the Jews, the children of Israel, while in the wilderness, from Egypt, so too did Jesus come down to this earth. As He lived, being our teacher / master and He died for us on the cross. His sacrificial death would atone for our sin.

"E" speaks of our earnest expectation
the blood, the book and the blessed hope
The shed blood of Jesus, atones for sins. The song writer said, "Hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and His righteousness, I dare not trust in fame but trust in Jesus' name, on Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is seeking sand."
The Book is the Bible, GOD's Holy word, and I will make it a lamp to feet and a light for my path, the words of the bible I will hide in my heart, so that I may not sin against Him.
The Blessed Hope of the Christian, The Apostle Paul said it best in his writing to Titus 2:13-14
13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of [h]our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us "
Jesus said in John 14 :3"I will come again and receive you unto myself, that were I am you can be also"

So yes indeed, we have HOPE in the LORD, but the question is do you friend??

The first step is to call on the LORD for salvation, just as you are, call on Him. The bible says turn unto GOD and He will turn unto you. When you turn unto Him, you have His attention. Then simply call on Him, pray, bow your head, believe on GOD's son, the LORD JESUS Christ and He has promised to save you.
The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, [e]that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, [f]resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, [g]resulting in salvation.  Romans 10:9-10
May God bless you friend,

Twelve Men

Twelve Men

And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; 14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, 15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphæus, and Simon called Zelotes, 16 and Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor. Luke 6

My mid-week bible study class is teaching about the Twelve Disciples / 12 Apostles. And a couple of things / ideas came to my heart and mind that I would like to share with you.

First the disciples were "learners".  Common men from the country, mostly fishermen and other trades, many unlearned.  These men were disciples, learners, men willing to learn, faithful to their job, very hard workers, available for service to Jesus and teachable. I believe there were many. For example, the twelve, the seventy and the 500, all disciples, all learners and followers of Jesus.

SO I suggest here, there was many disciples and only twelve Apostles, chosen, as they were picked off a shelf, gladly, a chosen vessel for a special use.

The disciples went through a learning period.  There were many disciples and many learning experiences. Then Jesus fondly chose twelve. The inner three and their brothers and friend, Peter, James, John , Andrew and Philip, then Matthew and Thomas. So the inner three, then the twelve and then the seventy. Also the 500 seen after his resurrection.

Then, the Apostles, meaning "one sent with a message". The Twelve were chosen. Allow me to show you the Vine's Dictionary meaning of  "chose"

"to pick out, select," means, in the Middle Voice, "to choose for oneself," not necessarily implying the rejection of what is not chosen, but "choosing" with the subsidiary ideas of kindness or favor or love,

What a great description of how Jesus chose them, the Twelve !! (and yet one was a traitor, Judas)

The Apostles helped win the known world of that day. Matthew, John and Peter wrote books of the bible. All were great missionaries around the world.

They all heard and believed in Jesus, The Messiah !!

 May God Bless you,
