Revive us again

There are many summer Revivals going on now in my area in North Georgia.  I am hearing of souls being saved, lives being changed and great help from the LORD !!



                                                                                                                    

The progression of revival over the years is rather interesting at least it's what I have observed in these last few years.  There was a time where if someone did not get saved, it would be said you did not have a good revival.  Of course, a person's soul salvation is very big and great. For Jesus came into this world to seek and to save that which is lost.  It is very important !!  But many did not want to see souls saved during the year, as they were afraid it would hurt the summer revival.  Then there was the thought that sinners could only be saved in the months of May or August, as these where the designated months for spring and summer revivals. So what if you were a sinner and wanted to be saved, did you have to wait for a spring or summer??




 Then God  showed Pastors that revival is for the church, Christians !!  And homes / families were put back together.   Many fathers and mother got help from the Lord.  The children were touched too.   Whole families at the altar prying and calling on God for help. And really that's what revival is about !! For the Christians getting help and hope in their lives.  And if  a sinner got saved and this is big too, it's just like icing on the cake.  It's even more  reason to shout  in the sanctuary.   ;-D

Seond Chroicles 7:14 is one of the best formula for revival.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I like the old time singing, praying, preaching and shouting !!  A movement of the Holy Spirit on a place, in the sanctuary.  Christians need revival and lost sinner need revival !!

My yoke is easy

It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words.  And this is true for me with this picture of the "YOKE"

Matthew 11:28-30 [Full Chapter]

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Honestly, I can just look at the picture of the yoke and see the hope and help of the Lord.  

It speaks of our position with Him. Side by side, we next to be next to Him, not ahead nor behind, side by side. Praise His dear name !! makes me happy.

And then it speaks of our power with Him, we can pull the load together. We can plow together, break new ground.  And it speaks of our promise with Him, he said "I will give you rest" A happy promise for us with a heavy load. (PTL)

Dear Friend, do you feel alone in this world ??  Jesus wants to come along your side.  He wants to come into your life.  Come to Jesus, accept Him into your life. For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved !!

The word is near to thee, the word of faith, which we preach;

 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The Apple Tree story

The Apple Tree story

I heard this story many years ago, I just heard Billy Graham tell his version and I want to share my version with you today.

A minister got on a train many years ago, after preaching a week of meetings in a big city and was headed home.  A stranger sit down beside him and they rode together to their appointed designation.  As the train headed out of town and into the country side the stranger became noticeably sad.  The minister said what's wrong sir ?? It here something wrong ??  The stranger said yes, I have been in jail for a long time and today I'm going home.  But I made my Father and Mother so mad at me, and I told them if they would forgive and wanted me to come home,  just tie a white towel on the apple tree next to the house.



He said preacher I am just not sure what they will do or if they even got the message.  So when we get to that spot on the railroad line, could you look for me and see if you see the white towel on the tree.  The preacher thought well he could at least do that for the stranger and he had prayer and they rode together.

As the train came around the bend of the stranger's parents house, the preacher started looking.  He said remember the bible says "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding" The words just fell to the floor of the train.  The stranger could not bear to look. Then the preacher said "I see the apple tree and it's in full bloom with many white towels tied on it and two people, a man and a woman waving a big white sheet too!!  For they loved him and forgave him!!

The stranger was loved and forgiven.  And so it can you my friend. For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Old things are passed away and ALL things are become new !!  The Lord wants to give you a new life, love and laughter !!

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The NEW we like

Hello, it is very interesting to me how we like the "NEW".  A new car, a new house and new travels.  I wonder if it is the youth with in us, meaning our heart and mind ??  But many of us like the "NEW"


We like the freshness of the new and we like a new challenge, at least to a point. But what does the Bible, God's word,  say about the new ??  Well there's much and many verses.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Eph 4:24

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

 

Psa 40:3

And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

 

So God is into the new and has much to say about it. This is a "selling point" of the gospel.  After one is saved and then baptized, they should walk in newness of life. Old things are passed away, behold all things are become NEW.

After you are saved you have a new life, labor, language, laughter and outlook. Your new life is the Christian life as you grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.  A new labor, not serving man, yourself or the world, bur laboring for God.  A new language, speaking of love, joy and peace.  A new laughter or joy and not of this world, but the joy of the Lord. And a new outlook, as Heaven is your new eternal destiny, eternal home and you will want to win as many (convert) as you can. 

The "NEW" God says much about and he likes it too. 

The Bible also teaches Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever more.  The book of Psalms remind us that God's word is eternally settled with no change.  Yet the newness comes as we learn more of Him from his settled word.  We find new joy and re-new joy. Base upon the great word of God.   It's amazing how God can take something settled and forever and make a "NEW" out of it.  Just like how He made a new 'YOU".   You see, He made a new me out of me, after I saw Calvary, after I got saved.








  

Dear Friend, the Lord wants to make a new you out of you, He wants to save you from your sins, He wants you to become a child of God.  For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.  Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all you ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path. Your new path !!

A Happy 4th weekend

Hello again everybody,

I had a very good 4th of July weekend with Family, friends and keeping the faith.  On July 3rd we went to the local fairgrounds  and enjoyed food and fireworks as we had a picnic and watched the fireworks.

  On 4th we had a family cookout with chicken and hotdogs.

On the 5th we went Rail Fanning (train watching) and had BBQ sandwiches with Cherry Coke. And we watched / photograph /video the big freight trains coming in & of Atlanta, GA and  headed to either Birmingham, AL. or Chattanooga, TN

Then on Sunday we visited my wife's home church and honored a man for his 40 years of Missions work
Food, fun and fellowship with Believers in Christ.

I have to says "Thank you Lord" for your blessings on me and my family !!  God is so good, truly He's so good to me !!

Dear friend there's a song that says " I rejoice in the Lord"  Can you say that today ?? There are many pains and problems in this Life and you need the Good Lord to help you.  The great news is He can help you. The Lord is just a prayer away. And right where you are now, in the quietness of you room, office or place, you can call on Him.  The Bible says believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you can be saved.  For with the heart man believes unto salvation, for whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.  See Romans 10:9-13
