Another Resting in Him post 260822

 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. Matt .12:8  

Today, Saturday, I am resting in the Lord of the Sabbath, Jesus Christ, God's son.

I am resting in Him, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.

And you can too.

Call on Him today, right now, for He's just a prayer away. 

For whosoever shall call on the name of Lord, shall be saved, born again. see Rom. 10:9,10

(as you bow your head and close your eyes, it bids / puts you at His throne of grace)

And remember, Sunday is The LORD's Day, first day of the week, as we commemorate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, praise He arose!!  And is seated at the right of God the Father in Heaven, interceding for you and me. see Heb. 7:25

I rest in His Second coming, He’s coming soon for me and all who are saved, the children of God

A future Message from an Angel

 A future Message from an Angel

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Read Rev. 14:1-7

These verses jump out at me, and I took notice while in my Wednesday night bible class.  Here we have a future message that is to come from an Angel of God who flew out from out the midst of Heaven. Having the message of the gospel, (see I Cor. 15:1-3) and proclaiming to the those who are on the earth.  Allow me to break down three points of this message for you.

#1 Fear God, (respect) 

#2 Give Him Glory (honor)

#3 Worship Him that made heaven & earth (adoration)

Notice this the message is to those who dwell on earth.  It's a future message but it applies today.  This is a great and gracious invitation to all. PTL!!

And notice message #4 a warning " the hour of His judgement come", the writer of Revelation, John the Apostle, saw this in the future and may say it's coming!! and very applicable now.

These things were written that you might believe.  I invite you hear Him and call on His name, pray.

Reading the bible is GOD speaking to you and praying is YOU speaking to GOD.

For whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved!! (see Rom10:9-10)

Christ is Born

 Christ is Born

Christ is born!!

And we have a wonderful Prophet with a great message for all on the earth.

Christ is Born!!

And we have a Great High Priest who intercedes for you me in Heaven.

Christ is Born!!

And we have a soon coming King to the earth from Heaven for us.

Yes indeed, CHRIST IS BORN!!

Ish. 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God,
The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace.

For whosever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved, please pray and call on Him today.

 

The Stone Manger

 No matter how many times I read this, I just cannot do it without getting chills all over me!

I bet you didn’t know the following about the manger that Jesus was laid in. Of course, mangers are animal feeding troughs but in ancient Israel they were made of stone - not what you would see in a modern-day nativity scene. Not comfortable, but great for protection. That’s why those who were experts in this matter, the priests, would put their newborn lambs in them for protection. But not just any lamb, the unblemished perfect lambs that were used in the sacrifice for sins. And Bethlehem, where Jesus was born was FAMOUS for their UNBLEMISHED LAMBS used for the sacrifice. These lambs had to be perfect so they would wrap them tightly in cloth and lie them in the manger to keep them safe. This is exactly why the only time mangers are mentioned in Jesus’ birth story it is being told to shepherds. In Luke 2 it says “This will be a sign for you, you will find a baby wrapped in cloth and lying in a manger.” The shepherds would have understood this powerful parallel! THEY KNEW what the cloth and the manger meant! This baby would be THE PERFECT LAMB OF GOD! The Messiah who would sacrifice His life for the sins of the whole world. He wasn’t just a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger, He was GOD: perfect, sinless and Holy, humbling Himself to become the perfect sacrifice to reconcile us back to Himself!!

THAT my friend, that Perfect Lamb, is WHY we celebrate Christmas!!

Proverbs 3:5-6

The First day

 

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. Matt. 28:1

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. Luke 24:1

The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. John 20:1

Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 1 Cor. 16:2

The first day of the week, on our modern calendar is Sunday.  It is very interesting that the bible, GOD's Word, identifies the first day of the week being the day after the sabbath or Saturday.  

The early first century church established Sunday worship to commemorate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus, the first day of the week. This blog writer has no problem with this and I encourage you to meet GOD at church with other believers on the first day of the week.

Call on the good LORD today, while He is near.  Ask, seek and knock and it shall be opened upon you. Today is the day of salvation, seek ye Him.

face to face and saved by grace

  Good morning, all, Happy Wednesday,

The phrase "face to face" was brought to my attention today, this morning. Instant #1 on Dr. David Jeremiah Twitter post, He reminded everybody that "one day we'll see Him face-to-face"

I read that post and started getting ready for the day and the song, "we shall see Him face-to-face, and tell the story saved by grace"

So instant #2 God brought the song to my heart and mind. (PTL!!)

Then instant # 3 I'm reading The Epistle of John this week,

2 John 1:12

Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

Three times, GOD's number, so I know I need to share this with you all today.

For me, I am glad I will see Him face-to-face and truly I will tell story saved-by-grace!! (well praise the LOED anyway !!)

Don't know who it's for, perhaps for me, but I going to feast on the thought face-to-face and the story, SAVED BY GRACE!!

Bread from heaven

A December 2023 blog post

 Hello and Merry Christmas blog followers and those who are visiting and viewing this blog. 

Perhaps the good LORD led you here, if so welcome :-)

 I know and realize it's been many months last my last blog post, but GOD has moved on my heart and mind again, (of which I am so thankful)

The bread came that down from heaven.

The first time this happen was in the wilderness when the children of Israel left Egypt going to the promise land, see Exodus 16 in the bible in the Old Testament.  GOD rained down bread "manna" from heaven for the children of Israel.

The second time would be when Jesus came down to earth as a baby in Bethlehem.  You see, Jesus identified himself as the bread of life in John 6 in the bible in the New Testament.  So as GOD gave the Children of Israel bread for life, that is, bread to eat in the wilderness to live,  GOD sent his son Jesus to into this world  that we might have life, eternal life with Him and life to live for him on this earth.

The spiritual symbolism of Jesus' birth are very interesting and note worthy.  

Notice, the city which Jesus was born Bethlehem, which means "house of bread" .  Then when Jesus was born, they laid Him in a manger, a feeding trough. GOD was pointing and is still pointing to all, that Jesus is that bread that came down from heaven.

And so this where Christmas comes in.  As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, in this season that is set aside from this,  may we realize the Jesus was that bread the came down from heaven and realize GOD became human flesh and dwell among us on this earth. Emmanuel meaning GOD with us.  May we celebrate this with JOY.

So dear friend, this is the reason for the season, why don't you call on Him today, He's just a prayer away, for whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved.

Guard Against False teaching 

 Benjamin Franklin had a similar warning for his fellow citizens: “A great empire, like a great cake, is most easily diminished from its edges.” We in America today would do well to remember Franklin’s warning to guard the core principles of this nation. We are a nation that has, throughout our history, stood united in principle and purpose. If America is to continue to stand for that which is right, it is incumbent upon her citizens to stand together in strength, virtue, and kindness.

Lord God, thank You for Your Word of truth. And, Holy Spirit, guard my life from misinterpretation of scripture and error. Open my eyes to truth as I study Your Word. Remind me that my strength lies in hiding Your Word in my heart that I may not sin against You.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105).

Trust in the LORD

New Year's Resolution for you

Hello all, 

This blogger has been away for too long, but, with the good Lord's help, I'm back!! 

 A couple of new year’s resolutions that came to my heart and mind, Psalms 25:4-5 and Provers 3:5-7 

“Show me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭25‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭ 

 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from evil.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭ 

Remember GOD is just a prayer away, for whosoever shall on the name of the Lord, shall be saved, may you listen and hear from the spirit of God. For God loves you

The Value of Seeking the Lord

 

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matt. 6:33

 

We all have ambitions and desires. And while these are not necessarily wrong, we should analyze our priorities: Where do I invest my time and energy? What or who occupies my thoughts? As important as our earthly pursuits, responsibilities, and relationships may be, they cannot compare to the value of a life spent seeking the Lord.

 

First of all, consider what it means to seek something. The word connotes a strong desire and an energetic quest to achieve it. Suppose you discovered a very productive vein of gold on your property. You wouldn’t just stroll out and look at it occasionally. No, you would gather some equipment and diligently go out each day to chip away at the rocks and collect the precious metal.

 

In the same way, seeking the Lord is not a quick and occasional encounter, but a wholehearted effort to know Him more intimately and follow Him more closely. Those who unreservedly pursue this kind of fellowship with God are determined to spend time with Him; they also want to forsake anything that could hinder growth in their relationship with the Lord. God’s committed followers boldly claim His promises and trust Him to fulfill His Word. Their experiences with the Lord bring amazing satisfaction yet cause them to hunger for more of Him.

The Christian life is meant to be a pursuit of God. To walk through the door of salvation and stand still, never drawing any closer to Him, is to miss the treasures that are available in Christ.

 

Those who seek Him soon discover that knowing Him is the greatest reward of all.

John Quincy Adams (1767–1848) served as the sixth president of the United States. Hear his exhortation to the American people:

I speak as a man of the world to men of the world; and I say to you, Search the Scriptures! The Bible is the book of all others, to be read at all ages, and in all conditions of human life; not to be read once or twice or thrice through, and then laid aside, but to be read in small portions of one or two chapters every day, and never to be intermitted, unless by some overruling necessity.

Psalm 119:105 reminds us that God’s Word “...is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” We who have the Word of God never have to wander in the darkness of uncertainty or indecision.

Father, I love Your Word and the way it speaks to my heart. Reading its words puts joy in my heart and gives me a peace that truly does go beyond my understanding.

The Rhode Island Charter of 1683, for instance, begins this way: “We submit our person, lives, and estates unto our Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, and to all those perfect and most absolute laws of His given us in His Holy Word.” In fact, from the first colony at Jamestown to the Pennsylvania Charter of Privileges granted to William Penn in 1701, where “all persons who. . . profess to believe in Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, shall be capable. . . to serve this government in any capacity, both legislatively and executively.” The Bible was considered the rule of life in the colonies. Lord, please keep my mind fixed on You and my thoughts grounded in Your Word so that You can use me to encourage my family, friends, and co-workers today. Contend for the faith

 

 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Jude v3-4

to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 2 Peter 1:1-2

General Douglas MacArthur, Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in the Pacific during World War II, said this in December 1951:

In this day of gathering storms, as moral deterioration of political

power spreads its growing infection, it is essential that every spiritual force be mobilized to defend and preserve the religious base upon which this nation is founded; for it has been that base which has been the motivating impulse to our moral and national growth. History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline.There has been either a spiritual reawakening to overcome the moral lapse or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father,

I know that our nation needs You now more than ever. I pray today for our leaders. Open their hearts to Your Word and to Your will. Please give us a reawakening to Your ways and to Your purpose for our country. Restore to us the knowledge of the principles upon which this nation was founded.

Amen.

The Pearls

 Hello All,

The Pearls have been bought to our attention in our home baseball team, but the bible says mentions it in the gospel of Matthew Chapter 13:-45-46

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

I am glad the LORD found me, gave His all for me and bought me !!

PTL, it's shouting time!!

For whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved, faith base, for with the your heart one believes and with mouth confession is made unto salvation.
