H-O-P-E message #2
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. Psalms 42:5
Perhaps this message is for me, but I would like to share with you.
Many times, there's hidden message in a word, especially when it's GOD's word. King David wrote about HOPE. As a child, as a young shepherd, He hoped he could protect his sheep herd from the loin and the bear. He also, hoped he could defend himself from the giant, Goliath, and He hope GOD would help to lead the national of Israel as King. David knew about HOPE.
So let's see David's H-O-P-E from the Psalms.
H - speaks of the help we have in GOD
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalms 121:2
King David said "my help comes from the LORD, which made the Heavens and the earth"
O - speaks Our LORD
O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Psalms 8:1
David hope in GOD was realizing GOD is his LORD.
P - is for Patient
I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. Psalms 40:1
David said, "I waited patiently on the LORD and He heard my prayer"
E - Exceeding joy
But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
Psalms 68:3
In hope is exceedingly joy, David knew it, and shared it for you. David knew hope was realizing GOD is on your side, and for you, his child, if you saved / born again??
