Reading & praying
Reading & praying
Prepare
I’d suggest 30 minutes to read, reflect, and respond to the Holy Spirit’s promptings in Lectio Divina. To tune in, I like to light a candle, not because it’s necessary, but because the flame and fragrance serve as gentle reminders when collecting my thoughts and calming my mind. I pray a prayer of invitation, saying something like, “God, let me hear from you,” and spend a few moments sitting quietly so my mind is open to hearing from God.
Lectio (Read)
My first reading is an opportunity to get to know the Scripture passage. I listen carefully for any words or phrases that seem to jump out. It’s important not to force things, but wait patiently for God to give gentle guidance. One day when reading Jeremiah 31, I felt my mind drawn to the strength of God’s commitment to His covenant:
“[I will make a new covenant] not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband.” (Jeremiah 31:32 English Standard Version)
I was struck by the image of God leading His people by the hand as an act of love – they weren’t left to begin their momentous journey alone.
Meditatio (Reflect)
The second reading of the same passage focuses further on the points I become aware of during the first reading. Often I’ll just re-read a few verses so I can reflect carefully on where God has nudged me.
Then I’ll reflect on what I believe God is saying. I try not to analyze the passage. It’s easy to slip into “study mode” and think about interesting points rather than listening to what God might be saying. It helps to ask God to make His focus clear.
Oratio (Respond)
After a third reading, it’s time to respond. I like to record my thoughts by journaling because I know I’m very prone to forgetting what I’ve learned, even by the next day! We can respond in prayer too, which gives us the opportunity for a conversation with God.
When reading Jeremiah, I journaled my wonderings. If God is so powerfully committed to keeping His covenant with me, why do I sometimes lack the commitment to stay close to God? Often the events of the day crowd in, and I don’t always make time to listen to God. I prayed that God would help me to prioritize spending time with Him.
Contemplatio (Rest)
After the final reading, I spend around 10 minutes in silent contemplation. This isn’t a time of prayer or meditation — I just sit quietly and allow God to work. When my mind starts to wander and dart here and there, I bring it gently back to stillness again.
There are many sources of inspiration to help develop the practice of Lectio Divina. Soul Shepherding has a collection of downloadable guides. It’s important to remember that Lectio Divina is not an end in itself or another spiritual practice to tick off our to-do list. It helps us hear specifically and individually from God through Scripture, guided by the Holy Spirit, and deepens our relationship with Him.

ALL are without an excuse
ALL are without an excuse
Romans 2:14-15
Even Gentiles (all the heathen nations), who do
not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively
obey it, even without having heard it. 15 They demonstrate that God’s
law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either
accuse them or tell them they are doing right.
The lost, natural, unregenerate man is without excuse, may
GOD help them to see the light, the light of Godly help, hope, happiness, and GOD’s
home.
May they see the light of GOD’s son, the LORD Jesus Christ,
as the way, the truth and the life.
GOD made it as easy for whosoever will.
All Biblical versions of the bible agree, the law of
GOD is written on their hearts
What will you do with this knowledge???
Please call of Him today, for He is just a pray away.
Amen & PTL!!

PAUL to the USA
Hello All,
Just being Salt and Light here today,
Just add what the Apostle Paul wrote to the Galatians Chapter 1.
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) 2 and all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: 3 grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Dear Friend, turn unto GOD and He will turn unto you, draw near to GOD and He will draw near to you. For whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be saved !!
GOD is just a prayer away, please call and confess to Him today !!

He will make Himself known
hello,
The healing you need
The healing you need
And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. see John 5:6-9
Just as Jesus healed the cripple man by the pool,
He can hear and heal you.Saturday, June 19, 2021
The school milk story
The school milk story
A preacher friend posted a story of when he was in the first grade. At the lunch time, all the children were given a little carton of milk. When he opened his opened his milk drink he found it tasted different. He thought I was sour so he went and told her his teacher. She said you are probably use to cow farm milk but this is store bought milk and it will taste different.
As I read the his story from his youth, GOD stated to speak to my heart and mind.
Our modern day culture has change many spiritual beliefs and bibles. The Apostle Paul warned the Galatians in chapter 1 about "another gospel" This was NOT another meaning of the same, but another meaning different. Really they were teaching to add works to grace for salvation. (which grace plus works is always a disgrace) But this was different from the Paul's & Christ's teachings.
As students and disciples of Jesus may we learn from the young boy at school that noticed a difference and then told someone.
May we proclaim the pure word of GOD and the true Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
May GOD bless you,
Rev. Dan
