Fear not, words from Jesus

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. 19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; Rev 1:17-19

Words of Jesus to His beloved disciple John.

In the first chapter of the last book of the bible, the Book of the Revelation, Jesus gives some great encouraging words to his disciple and now Apostle John.  It is the beginning of many words of Jesus that John would record.

Jesus identifies Himself with a great proclamation, " I am the first and the last"  Now John wrote about this in the gospel of John chapter 1 verse 1.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Jesus was alive on this earth as secular history and the Bible shows record his time on earth. He was the great prophet. Born of the virgin Mary, as GOD became man through His son, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. He lived on this earth and then died on the cross after the rejection from His people. John said it best in John Chapter 1 verse 11 & 12

He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

So He lived and died and now, He is seated at the righthand of His Father GOD, doing His Heavenly ministry, as our High Priest.

Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; see Hebrews  8:1

So as we see and hear these words from our LORD Jesus, may I say, Hear Him today. Hear Him for help, happiness and a home in heaven to go to someday.

Seek the LORD while He may be found, call on Him while He is near. Accept GOD's son, Jesus as your LORD and call on Him today.

Asking, Believing and confessing. (A-B-C) For with you heart, all believes and your mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Believe, faith base and call on His name, as He will hear your prayer.

You are just a prayer away from GOD, call on Him today.

The GOD of Comfort

The GOD of Comfort

2 Cor 1:3-4,6

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

The word comfort, in the original language, Greek, means a calling near, a summons, (especially for help) also, a calling to one’s side for consolation.

All comfort, as “all” means all, also in every kind or variety.

I say, ‘What an awesome GOD !!”

And may I say, It is true!! (I have seen it and experience in my lifetime)

In this scripture text, we see the source of comfort, GOD. Then see the scope of His comfort, “all” and we see the significance of this comfot, it is  consolation and salvation.

First, we see the source of our comfort, and it is very clear, it comes from GOD. The creator of the time, day light and dark, the creator of this world, the GOD in Heaven, all powerful, all knowing and always everywhere, is the GOD of comfort.

Secondly, the scope of our comfort. It covers us first, personally, and then it covers others, Friends and family. When are comforted and experience it, then we should share the comfort with others, especially those in trouble and in tribulation as GOD is for you, he is not against you.

Thirdly, the significance of His comfort is consolation and salvation as seen in verse 6.  We will have personal consolation and deliverance from troubles and tribulations.  It is for us and for us to clam. A promise from GOD.

So, this is a calling for Help for you. And as David said many years ago in the Book of Psalms, “my help comes from the LORD” (and for YOU too).
