The Place of Decision
The Place of Decision
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. Rev. 3:20
One of my favorite bible subjects or thoughts is the place of Decision. While it is not mentioned literally as that, but there are examples through out the bible.
Many times it has to do with a door, gate or opening. One for example is the Door of the Ark, God told Noah to build the Ark and make a door for entrance. Another is example is the Gate of the great tabernacle the children carried with them while in their wilderness journey. God told them, really Moses and Aaron, to build the tabernacle so that He could be with them, dwell with them.
But, at the main opening of the Tabernacle was a great opening, the Gate, and really the place of decision. Four post made the gate, interestingly there are four gospels, but with tabernacle there many symbolism and bible types. But the gate was the place and as you come to the gate, you can clearly see the animal sacrifice on the brazen altar, where the male lamb was sacrificed to atone for the sins of the people. (it was God's way and what God required)
We really learn so much about our salvation and atonement for sin and it begins with a sacrifice. Oh, would the ones who came to the gate of the tabernacle, would they accept this sacrifice or reject it, the place of decision. The same as it is today, Jesus Christ, being Identified by John the baptist, as the lamb that would take way the sins of the world. BUT, do you accept this !!??
God will always bring us ALL to a place of decision, and offer His way of salvation, giving you a chance to be saved. For God is not willing that any should perish but that ALL should come to repentance.
He will offer according to His grace and then shut the door!!
So friend, now it the acceptance time, Behold today is the day of salvation, call on Him while He is near as you read this blog, for whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved and will be able to enter in His gate. PTL!!
