Thrilled about the gospel

Why I'm thrilled about the Gospel of Christ

The Apostle Paul said it the best, as I use the words / verses from his books.  You see, Paul got saved, he met Jesus on the Damascus road, that day the S-O-N out shone the S-U-N,  I say, Hallelujah and praise the Lord!!

1. because of it's power
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Rom1:16
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1cor 1:18
For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. 1Thess. 1:5

2. because of it's plan
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

3. because it's personal
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received 1 Cor 15:1,3
But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts 1thess. 2:4
And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Rom 10:15

I'm glad I saved, born again and called to preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ

A southern male by birth and a saved Christian then called preacher by the grace of God.

The wisdom of men

The other day while surfing social media, Twitter, I saw a bible verse that was quoted from 1 Cor. 2. This chapter is not one of those often quoted chapters, but yet was still quoted on Twitter. Those Chapters and verses that are not often re-quoted a lot usually grabs my attention.  And usually I will read the previous  verses before the quoted verse to get proper understanding, that's when God spoke to my heart and mind, 1 cor. 2:4-5  And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. (and I kind of like the NAS too), that says, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.

God spoke to my heart and my mind urging me to repeat and declare this great truth.  Our faith should not rest nor stand on "the wisdom of men" but on the power of God.  So many times what we believe is based on what we hear and see of men, and many times it's man's wisdom. In man's convincing, we put to much of man's words, wisdom and way. When in reality with our faith should rest and stands on Him. The power of God, for the gospel is the power of God, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. There's so much that could be said here, we see it's to every one, the religious and the all knowing educated, all who simply believe. And it's God ways. Not by works of righteousness that we have done,  not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.

It's all God and with His power performed in us and through us. And I can rest and stand on that great truth. I rejoice and do rejoice.  Men can convince you through his words and wisdom, but faith and salvation should be based on the power of God, meaning His ways, words and wisdom. So then, faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God. And I says Amen to that :-)

But dear friend, do you need to be saved ?? the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto Salvation, to ALL.

May God Bless you,
