The power of God

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:15-16

Well, the other day, my battery light came on the dash in my Ford pickup truck.  Although the battery gauge showed a full charge, the battery light was on.  Day one, I drove to work and came home. I put my voltage meter on the battery and found that I was only measuring 10.5 volts, and it should 12 - 14 volts.  Meaning my alternator was bad and going bad as it could not recharge my battery. Well, on day two, the truck did crank up and the battery light was on, but the battery gauge started going down. I made it to work, then after work I immediately went to the auto parts store to buy an alternator. As I drove, I could see the battery gauge go lower and lower. I turned off the radio and heater. But the alternator would not charge the battery.  Finally, the gauge got in the red mark and my truck just died on me.  I was able to coast over to the side of the road and park.

I got some jumper cables and then charge my battery and drove a little further, trying to get to friend's house who could repair my truck.  I drove another five miles and the truck died again. But praise Lord it was near a church's parking lot and I was able to coast the truck in.  I lifted the hood and charged the battery and we headed out again.  I drove another 10 miles and the truck died again, and it was near another church's parking lot. (isn't that just like God to watch out for us) So I coasted in the parking lot and recharge the truck battery again.  And went the rest of the way.  I praise the Lord for His help and guidance during and through it all.  PTL !!

The power that I needed for my truck comes from the alternator and the battery. But the bible says that the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation.  It's powerful because it's message, mandate and meaning.  And the key is "to everyone that believes".  Not of works, lest a man should boast.  The Apostle Paul defined the gospel in in I Cor. 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Notice the key here "that which I also received"  So believe and receive Him and you, my friend , can be saved.

For whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved !!

God Bless you friend,

My updated status

Greetings Friends and faithful followers,  I  have been away from the old keyboard and it's been a while since my last blog post.  But, Here's an update status. God has still been working in my life and I hope to get around and share some of the things with you,  so please hold us up in prayer, for the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  I believe in prayer and I believe in talking to God.  The Apostle Paul said that we can come to the throne boldly in the book of Hebrews, Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.  Prayer is asking and receiving. The Bible says in the Book James, Chapter 4 that you have not because you ask not.  We all have our excuses, do we not ??  We forget to ask or we fail to ask. And yet the bible teaches that we have to "make our request known"  See Phil 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Of course the per-requirement here, in this verse, is prayer with thanksgiving.  It is very important.

I am not a blank check request -  type praying man.  But neither do I limit God in what He can do.  It's His business and more importantly, His will.  I can say that I am glad there were some prayer requests that He did not answer and some that I wish He did.  I only  trust Him. And neither do I demand God to answer my request as some do and teach as an entitlement.

I just believe in Him. I will serve Him and I will worship the LORD our God. His work is of a divine order.

But dear friend, do you believe in the Lord ?? Have you ever called on his name to be saved ?? If not, today is the day of salvation. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Call on Him while He is near. For whosoever shall on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

God Bless you,
